Teams is a paid app that allows communities, groups, or teams to join the app through a specific URL or invitation sent by a team administrator or owner. Microsoft Teams is a proprietary business communication platform developed by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products. Because of this, it is likely that your company is already using Microsoft 365 in some form. Included in the monthly subscription for Office 365 or Microsoft 365, is an app called Microsoft Teams. Hence you might even be using Teams already. Hence for many users, its use has been a process of organic discovery where you’ve managed to use some of the functions. Microsoft touts Teams as a productivity app.
