Digimune.com

Digimune is a cloud-based platform that provides next-generation digital risk protection. Digimune safeguards businesses from digital threats across all publicly available platforms. The infrastructure environment on which the application ran, needed to be secure, considering the nature of Digimune’s business model. Hosting in Microsoft Azure’s South African DCs was the best solution to meet their rigorous security standards.

Business Problem

Digimune, using a POC, created the infrastructure they required in a devops environment. Before making the environment live, the realized they didn’t have the inhouse knowledge to ensure the environment was secure and that they had followed best practices, which led to them approach Crimson Line to assist them.

The Solution

Hosting their infrastructure in Microsoft Azure to make use of Azure PaaS, specifically the Azure SQL and Web App components while maintaining security.

Process

Considering the work that Digimune had done thus far, Crimson Line identified changes that needed to be made to ensure Digimune met the objectives they had set out to meet when they created the environment. Crimson Line assisted Digimune’s inhouse team to successfully make the required changes to their production environment.

Deliverables

Digimune wanted the Web application to take advantage of Azure’s on-demand scaling.

The solution had to be resilient, with capabilities for growth and failover.

Security was very important.

Lewis Stores

Lewis Stores move to the cloud

When you’re a national retailer with hundreds of stores nationwide, server replacement is a significant capital expenditure. A cloud solution negates the purchase of new hardware while it has many additional benefits any business can benefit from.
redPanda Software

Aging hardware no longer needs to be a worry

Hosting your own data center means you need to keep track of hardware related issues. Software developers, redPanda, moved ahead of the curve by extending its data centre into Azure before hardware needed to be replaced.
Warwick Estate

Enterprise capabilities for a regional wine estate

The food and beverage industry is a fast moving, competitive one. Warwick Estate’s beautiful vineyards, cellars, restaurant and picnic area is part of the Stellenbosch Winelands. They needed a communication and data technology system that would allow for ease of use but using an ISP email solution was making this difficult. The estate’s location outside of Stellenbosch, meant that their options for internet connectivity was limited. But Crimson Line assured them, limited connectivity didn’t need to keep them out of the cloud.
